An ornate concrete cross stands in Church Street Graveyard, Oct. 31, 2020, in Mobile, Alabama. The cemetery was founded in 1819 and contains the remains of several famous Mobilians including Mardi Gras legend Joseph Stillwell Cain, war hero Gen Edmund Pendleton Gaines, and authors Eugene Walter and Julian Lee Rayford.
