Barbecue trophies and awards are displayed at The Shed Barbeque and Blues Joint, July 4, 2021, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The Mississippi eatery has won numerous awards for its barbecue, including grand championships at Memphis in May and Smoke on the Mountain. Owners Brad Orrison and his sister, Brooke Orrison Lewis, opened the restaurant in August 2001 as a tiny, 300-square-foot, take-out shed. Within five years, it had turned into a sprawling, 10,000-square-foot food experience, smoking more than a ton and a half of meat per day.
