Author Harper Lee’s books are displayed beside a vase of tulips at the Old Courthouse Museum after the author’s death, Feb. 19, 2016, in Monroeville, Alabama. Lee, who became famous for her 1960 novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” died in Monroeville earlier that day at the age of 89. Shortly after her death was announced, visitors flocked to the small town to visit the former courthouse, which was the inspiration for a pivotal part of the book.(Photo by Carmen K.
