A Civil War reenactor representing the Union Army is armed with a revolver and a sword at Fort Gaines during a reenactment of the 150th Battle of Mobile Bay, Aug. 2, 2014, in Dauphin Island, Alabama. The siege of Fort Gaines occurrred during the American Civil War. Confederate troops surrendered the fort to the Union on Aug. 8, 1864. The Fort is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and listed as one of the 11 Most Endangered Historic Places by the National Trust For Historic Preservation. (Photo by Carmen K.
