Ocean Springs, Mississippi, USA - July 6, 2024: A replica of the cornerstone of Fort Maurepas, also known as the Iberville Stone, is pictured in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It is believed to have been used to mark the site where French-Canadian explorer Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville established the Louisiana colony of Fort Maurepas in 1699.
