A historic marker tells the history of Wiggins Depot, March 29, 2023, in Wiggins, Mississippi. Wiggins train depot was built in 1910 by Gulf and Ship Island Railroad. Wiggins Depot was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1999. Gulf and Ship Island Railroad was completed between Gulfport and Hattiesburg in 1897.
