Convent of Mercy, known today as St. Francis Place Condominiums, is pictured, April 15, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama. Convent of Mercy was built in the Baroque Revival architectural style in 1908. Sisters of Mercy lived on the property and operated Convent of Mercy Academy. The school closed in 1968, and the convent closed in 1969.
