A dog statue lays at the foot of four children’s grave in the Nott family plot in Magnolia Cemetery, Aug. 14, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama. The children died of yellow fever, and their dog, who had laid faithfully at the foot of their bed, died shortly after the death of the last child. The 120-acre cemetery contains more than 80,000 graves, including those of governors, congressmen, writers, and other famous Mobilians. The historic cemetery was established in 1836 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
