The old and new versions of the Vicksburg Bridge, also known as the Mississippi River Bridge, span the Mississippi River at the Warren County Welcome Center, July 26, 2019, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The Old Vicksburg Bridge on the right, built in 1930, features three cantilevered truss spans and three Parker truss spans. It was closed to traffic in 1998 and now only operates as a railroad bridge. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The newer bridge on the left, which is also cantilevered, opened in 1973. The four-lane bridge carries Interstate 20 and Highway 80 from Vicksburg to Delta, Louisiana. (Photo by Carmen K.
