A statue of a girl releasing doves stands at the corner of Kelly Ingram Park, near 16th St. Baptist Church, July 12, 2015, in Birmingham, Alabama. The historic African-American church took a central role in the Civil Rights movement when it was bombed by members of the Ku Klux Klan on Sept. 15, 1963. Four little girls, along with two boys, were killed in the bombing. The statue, called “Four Spirits,” was erected in their honor. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
