A monument to those who fought in the Battle of Hoover’s Gap is erected at Beech Grove Confederate Cemetery, Oct. 7, 2010, in Beechgrove, Tennessee. The Battle of Hoover’s Gap, part of the Tullahoma Campaign, was fought here June 24-26, 1863. Union troops, led by General William S. Rosecrans, defeated General Braxton Bragg’s Confederate troops, driving the Confederates out of central Tennessee.
