The Hernando de Soto Bridge, also called the M Bridge, is pictured, Sept. 10, 2015, in Memphis, Tennessee. The through arch bridge opened in 1973 and carries Interstate 40 traffice between Memphis, Tennessee and West Memphis, Arkansas. It features 200 sodium vapor lights outlining the M-shaped arches. The bridge was named for 16th century Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto, who explored this area of the Mississippi River and died south of Memphis. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
