The U.S.S. Hartford anchor, belonging to Admiral David Farragut’s ship during the Battle of Mobile Bay, is displayed at Fort Gaines, Aug. 5, 2017, in Dauphin Island, Alabama. Farragut is famous for uttering the phrase, “Damn the torpedoes - full speed ahead!” during the battle. The Battle of Mobile Bay was fought during the Civil War in 1864.
