The Peoples Bank is pictured at the intersection of Lameuse Street and Howard Avenue, Sept. 5, 2021, in Biloxi, Mississippi. The bank was built in 1914 in the Beaux-Arts architectural style. It was originally intended to serve as the Harrison County Bank but was purchased by The Peoples Bank in 1924. A decorative cartouche is mounted on the parapet above an inset doorway flanked by fluted, Ionic columns and a segmental-arch pediment. The bank is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
