The Van Antwerp building is pictured, Nov. 6, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama. The building was constructed in 1907 and was the first reinforced concrete skyscraper in Alabama. The Van Antwerp building is 120 feet tall and is an example of Beaux-Arts architecture. It was designed by architect George Bigelow Rogers to house a pharmacy for wealthy Mobile druggist Garet Van Antwerp.
