A bird sculpture created from a tree killed by Hurricane Katrina stands on Highway 90, Oct. 9 2021, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Numerous live oak trees were killed by the Category 5 hurricane in 2005, but the trees were reclaimed by chainsaw artists who transformed them into fanciful sculptures of local marine life. More than 50 of the sculptures are scattered across the Gulf Coast, with many dotting the median on Highway 90. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
