Visitation Monastery was founded by Bishop Michael Portier in 1832. The 11-acre property is situated on Spring Hill Avenue and includes a network of historic Roman Catholic buildings which include the Sacred Heart Chapel, a retreat house, a candy kitchen, a gift shop, and a dormitory.
