A statue of Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise faces the Biloxi Lighthouse, July 4, 2022, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Haise, a native of Biloxi, is one of only 24 people who has flown to the moon. He served as a lunar module pilot on Apollo 13 in 1970. Haise, Jim Lovell, and Jack Swigert hold the record for the farthest distance from the Earth ever traveled by human beings. The statue was created by artist Mary Ott Tremmel Davidson. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
