A Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) plays with an enrichment toy at the Memphis Zoo, Sept. 8, 2015, in Memphis, Tennessee. The tiger is part of the zoo’s four-acre Cat Country exhibit. Sumatran tigers are critically endangered, with fewer than 679 individuals in the wild today. Due to habitat loss and poaching, only six of nine tiger species still exist. The Memphis Zoo features more than3,500 animals representing more than 500 species; it is one of only four zoos in the nation to feature a panda exhibit. (Photo by Carmen K. Sisson/Cloudybright)
